So here's Abbi doing a little choreography of all the things she's been learning over the summer. She does the twist, jumps, claps her hands, then cleans/dusts them off. Definitely cute!

While at the beach Jake and I set up a little kiddie pool for the girls to play in. Once we got our chairs and stuff setup, we'd spend 5 minutes or so getting the little pool filled up with ocean water. Abbi wasn't all that interested in playing in the pool, no where near as interested as Audrey, who one day never got out.

Although, Abbi did play in it some, with and without Audrey. Abbi seemed a bit more interested in playing in the sand than playing in the water this year. But, here's a picture of her enjoying both, sand and the pool!

Pool Fun

Let me take a few minutes to share about Abbi. Over the past few weeks we've noticed that she's really starting to remember things and repeat them when asked to do so. She can do the twist for you, jump, clap and shake her hands (as if she's holding something). She's also getting really good at communicating to us what it is that she'd like to do.

Last night after dinner she clearly indicated to me that she wanted to go out back to explore around. She came over to me, tugged on my shorts to get my attention and then walked over to the door. Had I picked her up, she would have put out her hand and pointed to where she wanted to go. Its really cute and awesome to be able to communicate with her. She still can't communicate with words, but she's definitely learning to communicate her needs to us in ways other than screaming and crying!

Talents

I gotta admit, I love the pictures of both Audrey and Abbi. Here they were both coloring together with Angela's help. I don't think Abbi did a whole lot of coloring, but hey - at least she was trying.

Since we went on vacation with the Sofinowskis there are plenty of pictures of both Abbi and Audrey together. Here is a shot of them enjoying the wading pool together on the beach!

Friends

We've been on vacation, but now we're back and I'm back to posting. While on vacation, Abbi got her first taste of ponytails. Here is one such shot!

Ponytails

I have no idea how long its going to last, but Abbi has entered into the "baby doll phase". She loves her little dolls and loves to carry one around with her all over the place. She's cute of course, but if you try to take it away from her, she's none to happy about it usually. Jenn seems to think its super cute as well.
